Ada Marie Bailey, 87, of Centerville died Monday, Aug. 30, 2004 at the Golden Age Care Center in Centerville.
Ada was born April 26, 1917, the daughter of Andrew and Ida (Forsythe) Oliver in Caldwell Township.
She married Orval Bailey in Moulton on Nov. 30, 1962. He preceded her in death in 1973. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Centerville.
Ada is survived by a sister, Emma Cole of Centerville; seven nephews, Wilbur (Mary) Wallace, Mike (Theresa) Wallace, all of Blue Grass, Don (Mary) Wallace of Davenport, Jim (Judy) Wallace of Russelville, Ark., Roger Oliver of Mt. Pleasant, Texas, David Cole of Exline, Dan (Pam) Cole of Pleasant Hill and one niece, Susan (Mike) Papale.
Ada was preceded in death by her parents; husband Orval; three sisters, Alta Adams, Alice Horn, Enid Wallace; two brothers, Bill Oliver and Lawrence Oliver; a nephew, Robert Cole; and a niece, Marsha McCormick.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 1, at the Thomas Lange Funeral Home with Pastor Lloyd Johnston officiating. Burial will be in Exline cemetery.
Visitation will be all day today, Tuesday, with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
A memorial has been established to the First Baptist Church which can be left at or mailed to the Thomas Lange Funeral Home, 1900 S. 18th Street, Centerville IA 52544.
