Emma Lucille Cole, 94 of Exline passed away Monday January 21, 2013 at Mercy Medical Center in Centerville.

Emma was born in Exline, Iowa to Andrew and Ida(Forsythe)Oliver on November 11, 1918. She received her education from Exline High School, graduating in 1936. Emma was united in marriage on October 16, 1943 to Floyd Cole in Unionville, Missouri.

Emma would attend college after high school. She began teaching at South Willon School, south of Numa. She taught school for a few years until Floyd returned from the service. She would later become a homemaker. Emma enjoyed playing cards, dominos, bingo, knitting, telling stories of her childhood and time spent with her family.

Emma is survived by two sons: David Cole(Susan)of Exline and Dan Cole(Pam)of Pleasant Hill, Iowa. She is also survived by two nieces, eitht nephews and their families and many cousins. Emma was preceded in death by her parents, husband Floyd, two children; Robert Cole and Marsha McCormick, six siblings; Bill Oliver, Alta Adams, Alice Horn, Ada Bailey, Enid Wallace and Lawrence Oliver.

Funeral service will be 11 am, Saturday, January 26, 2013 at First United Methodist Church in Centerville with Rev. Dennis Gibert officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Concord Cemetery near Mystic. Memorials may be given to American Legion Auxilliary #214.
