Information was received her this morning of the death of J.T. White at Turtle Bayou, in Chambers county. Death occurred last night and it is expected that the funeral will be held at Taylor's Bayou tomorrow.
The deceased was about 70 years old and was one of the most prominent and wealthy citizens of Chambers County. He owned large tracts of grazing lands and thousands of heads of cattle in Chambers and Galveston Counties.
He is survived by three sons and two daughters, namely R.M. White of Stowell, T.J. White of Turtle Bayou, Forest White of White's Ranch, Mrs.(Mandy) Smith of Waco and Mrs. Josephine McNulty, formerly the wife of B.F. Nulty, Superintendent of the insane asylum at Austin.
