Sarah was the daughter of James and Polly (Nichols) Cade.

She married to James Taylor White in 1813 in Louisiana. They were the parents of:
Elizabeth, John, Permelia Jane, Robert, Joseph, James T. and Sarah Cade White.

She died in a cholera epidemic 9 days after her husband died of the same.
