JESUSITA ARMENDARIZ
LOVING--A funeral Mass for Jesusita C. Armendariz, 85, of Albuquerque, will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church with the Rev. Maurus Hauer officiating. Interment will follow at Loving Cemetery.
A vigil will be held at 7 p.m. today at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church.
Mrs. Armendariz died Sunday, Oct. 15, 2000, at her home.
West Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Jesusita Carnero Armendariz was born April 29, 1915, in Marfa, Texas, to Florentino and Maria Hernandez Carnero. She married Martin Armendariz Dec. 30, 1930, and moved to Loving, where she was a homemaker and a cook for the Loving Schools for a number of years.
In 1980, she moved to Carlsbad, where she was a member of the San Jose Senior Citizens Center, and her favorite pastime was dancing. She was also a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church. In 1998, she moved to Albuquerque to live with one of her daughters.
Mrs. Armendariz was preceded in death by her husband Jan. 18, 1988, and by five sisters and one grandson.
Survivors include son Cruz Armendariz of Tucson, Ariz.; daughters Anita Fierro of Carlsbad, Rita Torres of Albuquerque, Esmera Florez of Tijeras, Gloria Navarrete of Amarillo, Texas, and Monica Armendariz and Lupe Franco of Houston, Texas; brother Jimmy Acosta of El Paso; sisters Angelita Carnero and Margaret Armendariz of Carlsbad and Isidra Armendariz of El Paso; 20 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren.
