MRS. HERNANDEZ
Services for Maria Hernandez, 93, 2315 Iris St., who died in a local hospital Monday, will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at San Jose Mission with Father John Curran officiating. Rosary services will be today at 7:30 p.m. at West Funeral Home chapel.
Burial will be in Carlsbad Cemetery. Pall bearers will be Salvador Anaya, Jimmy Armendariz, Willie O'Hara, Jimmy Acosta Jr., Daniel Armendariz and Raul Sanchez.
Mrs. Hernandez was born in Shafter, Tex., and moved here in 1926. She was a member of San Jose Mission.
Survivors include one son, Jimmy Acosta, El Paso; seven daughters, Margaret Armanderiz, Angelita Sanchez and Antonio Anaya, all of Carlsbad, Concha Armendariz and Catarina Sanchez, both of Loving, Ysidra Armendariz, El Paso, and Jesus Armendariz, Albuquerque; 79 grandchildren and more than 300 great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
