Married to Klaas Wieringa on 14 Jun 1872 by Rev. Seine Bolks.

Obit: Hospers Tribune dated 20 Jan 1911 [Contributed by Gert Scholten]:

SIOUX COUNTY PIONEER DIES
Mrs. K. E. Wieringa, one of Sioux County's first settlers and most respected residents, died at her home in this place Monday January 16, of the infirmities of of old age, and funeral services were held yesterday at the Presbyterian church, of which she was a member.

Mrs. Wieringa was born in Wilp, Province of Geldrland, Netherlands, in July of 1841, and was 69 years, 5 months and 19 days old at the time of her death. She was married in her native country to Mr. Brink, who died a few years later, and in 1869 she came to America with her two sons, Sam and Henry, who are now residents of this community.

After a short residence in Fillmore County, Minnesota, and near Le Mars the mother and her two little sons came to the vicinity of Hospers where they lived upon a claim.

In 1873 the subject of this sketch was married to K. Wieringa, one of the first settlers of Sioux County, and the couple resided for nearly forty years upon their farm northwest of Hospers. Last spring they moved to town to be near their only daughter, Mrs. J.W. Klein. Mrs. Wieringa bravely endured the hardships of life in a new country, and was also a true wife and mother to those who are left to mourn her departure. The bereaved relatives wish to express their sincere thanks to all who assisted them in any way.
