Ruth L. Blackburn Perkins Williams, age 93, passed away at her home on July 25, 2004. Born June 27, 1911 in Price, Utah to Albert and Lilley Bass Grames. She married E. Boyd Blackburn in Wellington; he died May of 1938. Married Howard E. Perkins in Price; their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on February 14, 1951; Howard passed away on October 1, 1960. Later married Robert P. Williams on July 10, 1971 in East Carbon; Robert passed away on October 25, 1989. Ruth was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served in many capacities. She was a lifelong resident of Carbon County and a 4-H leader for many years. She enjoyed fishing, camping and gardening. Ruth loved making crafts, knitting, crocheting and will be dearly missed by her family and many friends. Ruth's family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the entire staff of Community Nursing Services, especially Debbie, Shirley and Kristina. She is survived by four daughters and three sons, Donna (Ray) Mantle, Salt Lake City; Van L. (Kathy) Perkins, Santa Fe, New Mexico; C.J. (Sharon) Blackburn, West Jordan; Darleen Harrison, Ogden, Kansas; Pat (Gordon) Chidester, Kearns; Jack (Clorice) Williams, West Valley; Charlotte Fleenor, Magna; two sisters, Mabel (Ward) Garlick, Corona, CA; Florence (Alex) Simmons, Price; 44 grandchildren and many many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her children, H. Max Perkins, Paul D. Perkins, Carol Perkins, Lela Rae Nackos, and Rex Perkins; and her five brothers and five sisters. Funeral service held on Thurs. July 29, 2004 at the Mitchell Funeral Home. Interment, Price City Cemetery.
