Eva was a homemaker, and Vincent was a truck driver.
Eva was a member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Bethalto. She helped with the funeral luncheons at the church and loved to spend time with her family.
Eva died at Bethalto Care Center at the age of 81 years, 4 months and 3 days. She was survived by 1 daughter and son-in-law; 3 sons and 2 daughters-in-law; 8 grandchildren; 4 great-granchildren; 4 brothers, Delbert, Ron, Larry and Lee, and 3 sisters-in-law; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
In addition to her parents, Eva was preceded in death by her husband, Vincent, who passed away just over 3 months before her; 1 son, Tim Stumpf; and 2 brothers, John and Wayne Friedel.
Visitation was held from 9:30 a.m. until the beginning of the 11 a.m. funeral Mass on 18 Jun 2012 at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church. She was buried next to her husband at Rose Lawn Cemetery in Bethalto. Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
The family requested that memorials, if desired, be made to the American Diabetes Association.
