Last Clinton County Boy to Be Buried With Military Honors.

Funeral services for Van Horn Peale, Headquarter Department of the 27th Mining Engineers A.E.F. who died in France Aug. 10, 1918, will be conducted in St. Paul's Episcopal church at 2:30 o'clock Sunday afternoon by Rev. Lewis Nichols.

The body of Mr. Peale has been privately brought to the United States by his family, and will probably be the last Clinton county boy to be brought back. He was the youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. Rembrandt Peale, of New York City, formerly of Lock Haven, and a grandson of Mrs. S. R. Peale, of North Fairview street. The funeral will be in charge of the local post of the American Legion, with the assistance of three other posts. A contingent from the Clearfield post will be sent to this city to take part in the services; the Fox Peale Post of Carrolton has arranged to be represented and the Patsy Peale post of Emeigh ?, which has taken its name from that of Mr. Peale, will also send representatives. The pall bearers will be drawn from the members of these three posts as well as from the local post.

A ? has been secured by the officers of the William Marshall Crawford post of this city, on which the body will be placed to be conveyed to the cemetery. It will also be accompanied by an honor guard of cavalry from Troop F. The members of the American Legion who attend the funeral will make wear their uniforms.

The Legion firing squad will fire a volley over the young soldier's grave, which has been prepared in the Peale plot in Highland cemetery.

All ex-servicemen and members of the American Legion in the county are requested to meet at the American Legion headquarters in uniform at 2 o'clock to attend the services in a body. Those not yet affiliated with the Legion are also asked to be present.
