Well-Known Clearfield Man Dies
Richard Peale, 86, of 731 Old Town Road, Clearfield died early today, Feb. 16, at the Clearfield Hospital.
He was born in Germantown Oct. 14, 1889, a son of Rembrandt and Minnie Peale. He was the president of Peale, Peacock, and Kerr Co., Inc., a mining firm in St. Benedict, Pa. He attended the Colorado School of Mines in Boulder, Colo., and Lehigh University.
He was a member of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church in Clearfield.
He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Ronald (Judith) Strattan, and one grandson, Ronald Strattan Jr., both of Clearfield.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, the former Muriel Spencer, and three brothers: John, Rembrandt and Van Horn.
Funeral arrangements will be announced by the Fred B. Leavy Funeral Home Inc., Clearfield.
The family suggests that memorial gifts be made to the St. Andrew's Church Memorial Fund.

A Memorial Mass for Richard Peale, 86, of Clearfield, will be held tomorrow, Feb. 18 at 11 a.m. from the St. Andrews Episcopal Church, Clearfield.
Private Burial office will be held Wednesday afternoon at Fred B. Leavy Funeral Home Inc. The Rev. Thomas Russell and the Rev. George Clarke will officiate. Interment will be in Crown Crest Memorial Park.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today.
Mr. Peale died in the Clearfield Hospital yesterday, Feb. 16.
