"Mrs. Mae Sumpter, niece of Mrs. J.F. Reed of Ottumwa, died Sunday morning in Grand Blanc, Mich., at the home of her sister and brother-in-law Mr. and Mrs. T.E. Tuttrup.
She was born in Drakesville, the daughter of J.E. and Mary J. Christie. Surviving in addition to Mrs. Tuttrup is a sister, Mrs. S.J. Robertson, Chicago, her aunt in Ottumwa, and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Sumpter was reared in Ottumwa. After her marriage to John E. Sumpter, she moved to Minneapolis, where she lived until moving to Michigan to make her home with her sister.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Lester Jay funeral home, in charge of the Rev. Harold S. Drown of the First Presbyterian church. Burial will be in Shaul cemetery."
