"Fay Christie, 53, died at his home in Centerville Thursday evening from the effects of a heart attack. Mr. Christie, who was born May 3, 1885, in Monroe county, was the son of J.E. and Mary Christie. Surviving are his wife, Martha; three sisters, Mrs. E.J. Sumpter of Minneapolis, Mrs. S.J. Robertson of Riverside, Ill., and Mrs. Katherine Tait of Flint, Mich. He was preceded in death by two sisters and a brother. The body is at Lester Jay funeral home."

"Services for Fay L. Christie, former Ottumwan who died of a heart attack at his home in Centerville Thursday, will be in the Lester-Jay funeral home Sunday at 2:30 p.m., conducted by the Rev. Luther Childs, Centerville. Burial will be in Shaul cemetery."
