WOODRUFF, SC - Mrs. Elizabeth (Billings) Knighton, 84 years of age, widow of the late M. Oliver Knighton, died on March 31, 1930, at the home of her son, William Miles Knighton of Fountain Inn, SC, Route 2.
Mrs. Knighton was preceded in death by two daughters and a son-in-law: Mrs. Mary (Knighton) and husband Ervin W. Bell and Mrs. Sarah (Knighton) Chesney.
Mrs. Knighton was survived by four sons, these being: William Miles Knighton of Fountain Inn, SC, John Thomas Knighton of Spartanburg, SC, Green Lee Knighton of Simpsonville, SC, and Joseph Marion Knighton of Roebuck, SC; and a son-in-law: Jonas Landrum Chesney.
Funeral services were conducted, at the Tabernacle United Methodist church near Woodruff, SC, by the Reverend W. M. Wilkes, pastor of the Emma Gray Memorial church and interment followed in the Tabernacle United Methodist churchyard.
