Born at Pine Flats, Pa, Jan 11, 1869, he was a son of James P. and Emma Barbor Ackerson.
Mr. Ackerson spent most of his lifetime in Cherryhill Twp. where he was a farmer by occumpation. He moved to Clymer in 1946.
Survivors include one daughter and one son: Mrs. Paul (Virginia) Neal, Clymer, and William Jay Ackerson, Clymer RD 2; also 13 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife Emma Belle Stephens Ackerson in 1959.
Mr. Ackerson was the sole surviving member of his family.
Friends will be received at the Bence Funeral Home, Clymer, after 7 pm today where services will be conducted at 2 pm Monday, Rev. William Parker officiating. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Indiana.
