Helen was well liked in the community. About 1916-1917 she played for the silent films which were viewed in the Shaw building and later in the Improved Order of Red Men's Hall ( now the American Legion in Salisbury) She went with her Aunts the Bevans sisters , Nellie and Emma, who were nurses, to Baltimore to help with the Spanish Flu. She died in Baltimore of the Flu. She never married.
