I am a son of John A who was a son of John A . My grandmother (Addie Witt) would take walks through the cemetery behind our house and tell stories of those buried there. She knew a lot of them. I don't know a lot of them but I am learning and the cemetery is still behind my house. It's the only safe place to walk the dogs. Also my major interest is history. The history of this cemetery and other local cemeteries is the history of this country. This town was established in 1798 but there was a settlement here before 1776.
