On Friday last, Mrs. Elizabeth Malbon, widow of ex-city treasurer and ex-mayor Solomon Malbon, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Emerson L. Gordon, on Upper Main street, aged 83 years. Mrs. Malbon was one among the oldest residents of New Albany having lived here continuously for more than 60 years where she reared a large and interesting family. - New Albany Daily Ledger 25 Feb 1893
