Edmund Ost, 81, Kulm, died Friday, Jan. 17, 2003, in Wishek (N.D.) Nursing Home.
Mr. Ost was born May 21, 1921 near Fredonia, N.D. He moved with his family to near Guyson, N.D., where he grew up and attended school. He graduated from Lehr (N.D.) High School and Dakota Business College, Fargo. He worked for Reinhard Bros., Fargo, for a few years and taught school near Lehr for two years. He then became the postmaster in Fredonia. On May 26, 1961, he married Viola C. Dallman in Fredonia. They lived in Fredonia until 1984, when they retired and moved to Kulm. In 2000, he entered the Wishek Nursing Home.
He is survived by his wife; a brother, Oscar (Viola), Lehr; and two sisters, Edna Koenig, Kulm, Elva (Wilbert) Gutschmidt, Gackle, N.D.
Visitation: Today from 10 to 7, with a prayer service at 6, in Dahlstrom Funeral Home, Kulm, and one hour before the funeral in the church.
Funeral: Tuesday at 2 in United Methodist Church, Kulm.
Burial: Congregational Cemetery, Kulm.
