He was born Jan. 27, 1931 in Susquehanna Twp., Juniata County, to the late Charles F. and Maggie (Brown) Arnold.
He was a retired equipment operator from PennDOT; former council member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church; and a member of Retired Public Employees of Pennsylvania, Liverpool Home Association, Liverpool American Legion, Middleburg VFW, Millerstown Moose and Liverpool Fire Company.
Surviving are his wife of 47 years, Fleta M. Roush Arnold; two daughters, Linda C. Kuhn of Millerstown and Gay D. Bitting of Liverpool; five grandchildren; two brothers, Luther of Liverpool and Henry of Mt. Pleasant Mills; three sisters, Grace Pennebaker of Penns Creek, Bertha Silks of Millersburg and Katie Goodling of Mt. Pleasant Mills; two half-sisters, Charlotte Yerger of Avoca and Gladys Szeives of Millersburg.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Cloyd; a half-brother, Charles Arnold; a stepbrother, Dervin Hupp; and two stepsisters, Thelma Miller and Pearl Miller.
Services were held July 8 in his church, with the Rev. Celo V. Leitzel officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
