MILLERSBURG - Bertha E. Silks, 77, of Millersburg, passed away November 30, 2006 at Stonebridge Health and Rehab in Duncannon.
Born in Juniata County, April 15, 1929
Parents: Charles and Maggie (Brown) Arnold. Member: Millersburg Assembly of God Church.
Widow of George O. Silks.
Surviving: daughters: Brenda Peck and Shirley Shumaker,Halifax, and Yvonne Willis,Sparks, NV; six sons:Freddie Stoneroad,Elizabethville; Leonard Silks, Henry Silks, Dale Silks, Chester Silks, and Kenneth Schreiber, Millersburg; 18 grandchildren; 17 great- grandchildren; two sisters: Grace Pennebaker, Penns Creek, and Katy Goodling, Mt. Pleasant Mills; a brother, John Arnold of Mt. Pleasant Mills; and two half-sisters: Gladys Szives, Millersburg, and Charlotte Yerger, Moosic.
Funeral:Hoover Funeral Homes, Inc., in Millersburg, Monday, December 4, 2006, with Rev. Norman Lawrence officiating.
Burial: Reigle's U. B. Cemetery, Millersburg.
