Mrs. Cleland was born February 4, 1858, in Center Village, Ohio, and came to Kansas as a small child. She was married to W. A. Cleland and lived many years around Hoyt before moving to Oklahoma.
She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Lola Swindell of Topeka, Mrs. Marcia Allen of Independence, and Mrs. Josephine Dorman of Avondale, Ariz.; and three sons, Ben Cleland of Yale, Okla.; David Cleland of Independence, and Saul Cleland of San Francisco.
Funeral services and burial were in Dewey, Okla.
