Funeral services for Frona H. Oakes, 51, who died at her home in Pawnee Township, 8 1/2 miles ___ of Stillwater, August 3, were held in the Methodist Episcopal church of Ingalls at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon, the Revs. Lyle Shafer and W.E. Cook officiating. Burial was in Fairlawn cemetery, Stillwater, under the direction of the Strode Funeral Home.

Frona Cleland was born in Kansas, April 5, 1882. She was married to William Oakes, January 11, 1907, in Stillwater. She came to Oklahoma with her family 37 years ago, and settled at Perry, where they lived for five years, and then moved to the Ingalls farm.

Mrs. Oakes is survive by four children, Milton Oakes, at home; Mrs. Viola Craig, Ingalls; Mrs. Dollie Daugherty, near Ingalls; Cassie Oakes; her father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. William Cleland, Dewey; Mrs. Lola Gordon, Perry, Kan.; Mrs. Marcia Ritchey, Glencoe; Ben Cleland, Yale; Josie Dorman, Yale; David Cleland, Pawnee; Saul Cleland, Kilgore, Tex., and two grandchildren.
