Mrs. J. L. Moore Dies Saturday Morning

Mrs. J. L. Moore died at the Santa Rosa hospital in San Antonio Saturday morning at about 1 a.m. following an operation there several days ago. She became ill at her home in the Stieren community and after treatment in a local hospital was taken to San Antonio. Baker Funeral home is in charge of arrangements. The body was returned to Gonzales to the home Saturday morning.

Mrs. Moore was the former Beulah Gunn and was born to Mr. and Mrs. Walker P. Gunn in the Thompsonville community. Her husband preceded her in death on Sept. 29, 1937. Three children survive her; a son, Morris of Gonzales, Mrs. Annette Basford, San Antonio, and Mrs. Idella Cook, San Marcos. Also survivibg her are three sisters, Mrs. Austin Miller, Gonzales; Mrs. Verne Crozier, Waelder; and Mrs. Idella Denman of San Antonio; three grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

She was a member of the First Methodist church and the Rev. C. E. Marshall, pastor will conduct the services Sunday with interment in the City cemetery.

Services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday from the First Methodist church and pall bearers will be her nephews, Dr. Bryan Denman, Boyd Cecil, Donald Glass, Walter Crozier, Walter Miller, Marion Richter and Ernest Gosch.
