Former Wolfe City Man Dies in Dallas
J. W. Harrell, former resident of the Wolfe City section died suddenly at 1:30 a. m. Wednesday &t his home. 4604 Thomas Drive Dallas.
Last rites have been set for 2:30; p. m. Thursday from the R.W. Owens Chapel in Wolfe City, with W.W. Rogers, Church of Christ minister of Commerce, officiating. Burial will be in Mount Carmel cemetery.
Pallbearers will be nephews and grandsons, including P. K. Harrell, Billy Morris, Homer Stidham, Hubert Stidham and Richard, Morris, Billy, W. T. and Sam Harrell.
Mr. Harrell was a native of Murphreesboro Tenn. where he was born on October 24. 1880. His parents were W. M. Harrell and Sarah Jones Harrell, and they brought Jim to Texas when
he was 12 years old. He lived in the Kiser community near Wolfe City most of his life, moving to Dallas seven years ago. He was married to the former. Miss Frances Stidham on December 24, 1904, in Wolfe City and to this union was born four children, all of whom survives.
Harrell had been a member of the Church of Christ for 30 years.
Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. D.L. Robnett and Mrs. Carl Fulenwider of Dallas and Mrs. W.G. Stapleton and Mrs. W.E. Malone of Wolfe City; seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren; two sisters, Misses Fannie and Irene Harrell of Wolfe City; two brothers, R.N. Harrell of Wolfe City and W.T. Harrell of Dallas; and several nieces and nephews.
