Final Rites For Miss Irene Harrell Held On Friday
Miss Irene Harrell, long time resident of this community, died at 10:40 a.m. Thursday, July 19,at the Wolfe City Hospital after an illness of two weeks. Miss Harrell had recieved a broken hip several months ago and had been confined to her bed since that time.
Miss Harrell had made her home with a sister, Miss Fannie, at the Harrell Home place south of town. She was born August 24, 1885, the daughter of W.M. Harrell and Sarah Jones Harrell, and had moved to Texas with her p[arents at the age of nine.
She was a member of the Church of Christ.
Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. at the R.W. Owens and son Funeral Chapel with Otis Rowe, minister of the Church of Christ oficiating. Burial was in the Webb Hill Cemetery under the direction of R.W. Owens and Son Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Richard Harrell, Woodrow Harrell, Richard Thornton, William Malone, Dwight Robnett of Dallas, Norris Harrell of Collinsville.
Survived by one sister, Miss Fannie Harrell, 2 brothers, R.W. Harrell, City and W.T. Harrell of Dallas.
