Edwin, son of Wilson and Marcia Akers, was born at Salina Kansas on March 29, 1887.
At the age of 18 he came to North Dakota and settled in Sargent County. On Sept 29, 1909 he was united in marriage to Laura Waloch at Forman. This union was blessed with four children - three daughters, Bernice, Laverne and Lucille and one son, Merle. Edwin worked many years as a farmer and later as a carpenter. At the time of his death, he had been living in Oakes, ND.
He was survived by his wife, children, 9 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
