She was an invalid during the last ten years of her life, yet during all of her afflictions she was patient and exhibited great Christian fortitude and was ready to part this life and be at rest.
She died at the home of her son H.L. Jacques [southwest of Melbern]. Funeral services were held Jan. 29th, at the Edgerton M.E. church, and interment at the Edgerton Cemetery, Rev. G.M. Hemphill officiating clergyman.
"Dearest mother, thou hast left us,
Here thy loss we deeply feel,
But 'tis God who hath bereft us,
He can all our sorrows heal."
