Alcie Elizabeth Brewer was born to Thomas Marion T. and Ida Margret Butler Lax Brewer. Alcie married Connie Frank Williams in Halliday, Greene County, Arkansas on January 28, 1920 at the age of 20. They married after Connie returned from fighting in World War I. Connie was 25 years old. Alcie and Connie had ten children, two of which died as babies. They farmed in Lafe, Greene County, Arkansas. Alcie and her family attended Lafe Baptist Church. She made sure her children were in church, not only on Sunday mornings, but also Sunday evenings and Wednesday evenings. Church was a big part of her life. Alcie also lost her teeth at a young age and Connie bought her a pair of false teeth, but the false teeth did not fit right, so Alcie just went without teeth for the rest of her life! Alcie was a friendly and helpful person who loved her family and all her 21 grandchildren.
