Van enjoyed trading jack knives, where he sat on a bench with his cronies every Saturday morning, and traded. He had quite the collection. He smoked a pipe with Prince Albert in a can, but unfortunately died of lung cancer. When he lit up his pipe, his grandchildren would fight over who was going to blow out the match!
