Gladys Foote, 69, 405 W. Division, Blossom, died at her home Wednesday, January 11, 1989.
Services were held Saturday, January 14, in the Church of the Nazarene at 8851 Bruton Road, Dallas, with the Rev. Jerry Hollowell officiating. Dudley M. Hughes Funeral Home, 2615 S. Buckner, had charge of arrangements there; with Bright-Holland Funeral Home in charge of local arrangements.
Mrs. Foote was born October 2, 1919, a daughter of Daniel Russell Stansell and Bettie Stone Stansell. She married Harold Wesley 'Cotton' Foote in January 1938 in Lamar County.
She was preceded in death by a son, Luther Dale Foote in 1946; and a daughter, Vivian Dolores Cowthorne.
Surviving are her husband; seven daughters, Jackie Sue Sowers of Meridian, MS, Vickie Lynn Pelham of Mesquite, Dorothy Davis of Albuquerque, NM, Dana Marshall Bradford of Mesquite, Patricia Flanigan of Mesquite, Debra Ann Stevens of Mesquite and Marie Willis of Balch Springs; six sons, Harold Wesley Foote Jr. of Mesquite, James Wesley Foote of Palestine, Douglas Foote of Dallas, Kenneth Foote of Dallas, Billy Harold Foote of Balch Springs and Jerry Lynn Foote of Mesquite; two sisters, Mrs. Nellie Ruth (Roger) Cato of Paris and Mrs. Mary Helen 'Billie' (James N.) Slagle of Paris; 22 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren.
