Mr. Stansell was born April 16, 1897, in Alabama, son of J. C. and Edna Cain Stansell. He was married to Betty Stone November 21, 1915. He was a retired groceryman and a Baptist.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Joe Stansell of Blossom and Chester Stansell of Benton, Arkansas; four daughters, Mrs. Billie Slagle of Paris, Mrs. Nellie Ruth Cato of Reno, Mrs. H. W. Foote of Dallas, and Mrs. Maye Burrow of Malvern, Arkansas; one brother, Albert Stansell of Hopewell; one sister, Mrs. Ethel Ferguson of Corpus Christi; and 21 grandchildren.
Pallbearers were James Cotton, Jerry Allen, Claude Dudley, Fred J. Ayres, Wendell Nichols, and Tommy Nichols."
