PHILLIP SCHWINDT

Phillip Schwindt was the oldest child of Conrad Schwindt and Anna Katherine Bloom, in the family of three boys and four girls. He was born in Norka, near Saratov, Russia, on July 12, 1879, and passed away at the Rush County Memorial Hospital on January 31, 1952.

He came to the U.S.A. with his parents at the age of seven in 1886, and settled in Rush County, Kansas, where he grew up, made his own home, and raised his family.

His Father passed away at the age of 38, when Phillip was a mere twelve years old. Although his Father was a farmer, Phillip took to well-Drilling as a profession, and spent most of his later years in this pursuit.

Phillip was united in Marriage with Antonia Hoenig on December 14th, 1908. This marriage was blessed with nine children; seven sons and two daughters.

The union of Phillip and Antonia Schwindt was blessed with seven sons and two daughters:
