MUNCIE--Paul A. Duncan, 75, died Friday, Sept. 21, 2001, in Community Hospital, Anderson, after a short illness.
Mr. Duncan was born Aug. 20, 1926, in Shoopman, Ky., to the late Ollie Ross Duncan and Emby Duncan. He was a retired machine operator with more than 27 years of service with Chevrolet Muncie/New Venture Gear. He was a member of UAW Local Union 499 and was a member and deacon of Westside United Baptist Church. He served in the United States Army during World War II. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and church member.
He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Mildred; two daughters; four grandchildren; two brothers; two sisters; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by is parents; two sisters, Marie Waters and Betty Lou Jones; and two brothers, Eldred B. Duncan and Austin Duncan.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Monday, Sept. 24, 2001 at the Westside United Baptist Church, 3021 W. Cornbread Road, Muncie, with Pastor Larry Waters and Pastor Hoyt Davis officiating. Burial will be in Tomlinson Cemetery. Mr. Duncan's family will receive guests 3-7 p.m. Sunday at the Parson Mortuary, 801 W. Adams St., and an hour before services time Monday at the church.
