William Brownlow Irick, 74, whose home was at 322 North Philadelphia street, died at his home Wednesday morning at 5:15 o'clock following a heart attack Sunday.
Irick was an '98er, moving to Pottawatomie county from Texas. His birthplace was in Tennessee, but he moved to Texas in his Infancy. At the time of his death, he still retained a homestead in the northeast part of the county and was also the proprietor of the Irick Furniture company.
Surviving relatives include his wife Mrs Obeira Dearing Irick, four sons, Tom Irick, Tulsa; Britt Irick, Tulsa; Lee Irick, Prague, and John Irick, Stroud; three daughters, Mrs L S Kimes, Bristow; Mrs John Hogan, Oklahoma City; Mrs Ed McFarling, Shawnee; three sisters, Mrs Fannie Hunt, La Masco, Texas; Mrs Tom Taylor, Bonham, Texas; Mrs Mollie Bell, Oklahoma City; two brothers, Fate Irick, Pilot Point, Texas; Fred Irick, Lexington; two half brothers, Solomon Irick, Okahoma City; Ollie Irick, Texas.
Services will be held at 2:30 o'clock Thursday afternoon at Gaskill's chapel with Rev W A Merrill In charge. Burial will be at the Resthaven Memorial park. Five grandsons, Albert Kimes, Stephen Kimes, Floyd Irick, Leo Irick, Wesley Brock, with Chester McDonald, will act as bearers.
Honorary bearers are: H T Riddle, R F McFarllng, C J Addington, J T Rosser, Tom Whitten, John Smith, E D Reasor, S B Penn, J R Krepps.
