Mrs Amanda M Irick, 71, pioneer Shawnee resident, died at 3:30 o'clock Friday morning at her home, 115 North Oklahoma Street, following an extended illness.
She had lived in Shawnee for 14 years and in Pottawatomie county 41 years. She was a member of the Shawnee Nazarene church.
She is survived by her husband, William B Irick; five sons, Tom Irick, Tulsa; Britt Irick, Shawnee; Elva Irick, Prague; Lee Irick, Prague, and John Irick, Shawnee; three daughters, Mrs L S Kines, Bristow, Mrs John D Hogan, Stillwell, Mrs Edward McFarling, Shawnee; and 30 grandchildren.
Funeral for Mrs Irick will be conducted at 2:30 o'clock, Saturday afternoon, at the Gaskill chapel with Rev Thomas Starnes, pastor of the Nazarene church, officiating. Burial will be in the Resthaven cemetery.
Bearers for the service will be A T Reaves, R J McFarling, John Smith, C J Addinton, and Tom Whitten, Dan Smith, both of Prague.
