All his life was passed here and during the greater portion of it, after he attained his majority, he was engaged in farming. Mr. Wirth was twice married. His first wife was Mrs. Kerstein, died a number of years ago. His second wife Miss (Hattie) Howell, survives him.

Mrs. Brown, whose home is in Cal.

Helen Wirth (child had with Hattie)
Of his father's family the surviving members are;
Mrs. Martin, of Olney
Mr. Hiram Wirth, of St. Clair county
Mr. Ben T. Wirth, of Lawrence county
Mrs. Clayton Hill, of this county
John Henry Wirth was a man of kind heart and generous impulses. He was an honest man and commanded the respect of the community. He had his weaknesses, but he was the sufferer from them. Scores of friends will sincerely mourn his death. He had been in feeble health for years, but his death at this time was not anticipated.
The funeral services were held this morning at 10 o'clock at the Lutheran Church, conducted by Rev. J. H. Walterick. Burial was made in Rose Hill.
