Mr. Henry Wirth, whose serious illness was noted in a recent issue of the Register, died at the residence of his daughter, Mrs. J. M. C. Hill, at Claypool Hill, Friday last. The funeral took place from the Lutheran church in this city, Sunday, Rev. J. H. Walterick conducting the services.

Mr. Wirth, who for many years was a resident of Mt. Carmel, was born in Lebanon, PA in 1814. His age at the time of his death was 79 years, 2 months and 11 days.

Five children survive him:

Mrs. M. J. Martin, of Olney
Mrs. J. M. C. Hill, of Knox county, Ind.
Mr. J. H. Wirth of this county
Mr. Benjamin Wirth of Lawrence county
Mr. Hiram Wirth of East St. Louis

He was a brother of Mr. George R. Wirth, of Mt. Carmel.
