Hiram A. Wirth, aged 54, of 220 North Second street, died this morning of bronchitis. He is survived by his wife and several children. The funeral will be held tomorrow morning at 9 o'clock from the residence to Mount Hope cemetery. Burke Bros. have charge of the funeral. East St. Louis Journal

NOTES:
~ Hiram was knocked down by an railway engine near the Relay Depot in East St. Louis Wednesday night Oct. 28, 1903 and fatally injured. Two ribs and his back were broken and he was badly injured internally. They thought he wouldn't recover.
~ He filed suit in East St. Louis City court against the Terminal railroad association and the St. Louis, Mobile and Ohio railroad fro damages amounting to $1,999. He was struck by a train on Missouri ave., E. St. Louis on Oct. 13th, 1903. Belleville, Ill., Daily Advocate, Feb. 27, 1904.
