Mr. Henry Maassen passed away, Saturday afternoon at the Veterans Hospital of Sioux Falls. He died at the age of 60 years, 6 months and 29 days.
Mr. Maassen was united in marriage to Janet Faber, who now survives, and also five children, Alice, Mrs. Marinus Oostra of Washington; John of Rock Valley; Rika, Mrs. Albert Vanden Top of Washington; Cora, Mrs. Minard Vanden Top of Rock Rapids and Marinus of Rock Valley.
Besides his wife and children he is also survived by fourteen grandchildren and four brothers and five sisters.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, May 12, at the home in Rock Valley at 12:30 and 2:00 at the Netherland Reformed church, Sioux Center, with Rev. C. Hegeman, officiating.
Pall bearers were Cornie Huizer, Raymond Huizer, Case Faber, Everet Van Ginkle, Raymond Maassen, Gerrit Maassen. Burial was in the Rock Valley cemetery.
