Charles H. Fike . LEMMON - Charles H. Fike. 93. died Friday at a Lemmon nursing home.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Lemmon Church of God, with the Rev. Robert Seyda officiating. Burial will be at Greenhill Cemetery. Evanson-Jensen Funeral Home, Lemmon, is in charge of arrangements.

A memorial has been established at Five Counties Nursing Home, Lemmon.

Fike was born Jan. 26, 1886, to Abel and Dydray Fike in Competition, Mo. He received his education and grew to young manhood in Henry County, Mo.

He moved to Bismarck, N.D. in 1907, and then homesteaded in Howe Township in Grant County, N.D., northeast of Lemmon. He lived intermittently on the homestead for five years. During that time he worked at Doland, S.D., as an artesian well driller. His land grant was approved in 1913.

Fike married Martha M. Churchill at Doland, S.D. Jan. 12, 19l5. They returned to the homestead, and Fike lived there nearly 50 years before retiring to Lemmon in 1960. He sold his ranch in 1966 and moved to the nursing home last October.

He was a member of the International Order of the Odd Fellows and Rebekahs.

He is survived by six sons, Walter of Anaconda, Mont., Lester of Nathalia, Australia, Arthur of Guam, Leroy of Seattle, Wash., Neil of Bothell. Wash., and Fred of Big Sky, Mont.; five daughters, Mrs. Walter (Marjorie) Joiner and Mrs. Wayne (Ruth) Mayer, both of Cresent City, Calif., Mrs. Ray (Olive) Jacobs, Morristown, Mrs. Chris (Marie) Schell of Billings, Mont., and Mrs. Robert (Grace) Schell of Baker, Mont.; one brother, A.I. Fike. Chetopa, Kan.. 51 grandchildren, 71 greatgrandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife and one son.
