Doris was the daughter of Elmer & Ethel (Strain) Wallace. She attended school in Schaller, IA, then National Business Training School in Sioux City, IA. She was employed by Iowa Public Service Co. in Sioux City for 10 yrs.
She married Louie Hacker Nov 25, 1948. They enjoyed living on a farm near Lawton, and later in the town of Lawton.
She was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church and Lawton Variety Club. She enjoyed baking, cooking, writing, caring for children and being with friends and family.
Survivors are her husband Louie of Lawton, a son Donald and Elizabeth Hacker and grandchildren Adam & Christopher of Harrisburg, PA; a daughter Becky Hacker-Kluver and husband Jeff Kluver of Webster City, IA; a daughter Mary and her husband Larry Nordtvedt and grandchildren Chelsay & Ryan of Cottage Grove, MN. A brother Lowell Wallace in the state of Washington; Sisters-in-law Pearl Wallace, Leona Wallace, Louise Carrington, and Eleanor Hacker.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers Clyde Wallace and Elery Wallace; and her sister Mary Miner.
