Both of Aaron's parents were natives of New Jersey and in 1836 they emigrated to Henry Co, IN, where they lived in several places until 1843, when they bought a farm 3 miles west of Blountsville, and remained here until their deaths. Aaron at the age of 32 years married Mary Bird, who was a widow. He was always a successful farmer and owned 200 acres of well-cultivated land. In politics, he affiliated with the Republican party.
