Albert Strunk, 85, of Amelia, Ohio, passed away May 9, 2004, at his home in Amelia.

Born in Scott County, March 22, 1919, he was preceded in death by his parents, John and Ernie Tony Strunk; four brothers: Arch, Bill, Alfred, and Glen Strunk; four sisters: Beuna Strunk, Alene Phelps, Kathleen Yancey, and Grace Dolen; father- and mother-in-law, Jefferson and Flo Duncan; and one son-in-law, Richard Fore.

He was a construction foreman for W.L. Harper Construction Company for 35 years until retiring in 1990. He enjoyed the outdoors - fishing, hunting, and four-wheeling. He enjoyed spending time with his family and playing and winning card games.

He is survived by his wife, Dessie Irene Duncan Strunk; four children: Jack Edward Strunk and wife, Bethany, of New Richmond, Ohio; Jimmy Roger Strunk and wife, Susan, of Bethel, Ohio; Rena Howes and husband, David, of Amelia, Ohio; and Deborah Fore of Williamsburg, Ohio; eight grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, two sisters, Jean Potter of Milford, Ohio, and Joyce Kasselman of Mainville, Ohio; and many other relatives.

Funeral services were conducted in chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home. Internment in Kingtown Cemetery in Winfield.

Pine Knot Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
