STRUNK, ALBERT RUSSELL – 68, Baptist minister and retired coal miner, died Saturday, August 24, 1968 in Somerset City Hospital. He had been ill for several weeks. The deceased was born May 29, 1900, in WINFIELD, Tn., a son of the late JOHN STRUNK and REBECCA CUMMINS STRUNK. He came to Stearns as a young man and worked in the Stearns mines until retirement. He was a member of the Pleasant Rock Baptist Church. Survivors are his widow, Mrs. MITTIE PHILLIPS STRUNK, Stearns; three daughters, Mrs. HAZEL STONE, Aurora, Ind., Mrs. SHIRLEY WRIGHT and Mrs. BONNIE BURKE, Louisville, Ky.; two sons, RUSSELL and WILLIAM CLYDE STRUNK, Lawrenceburg, Ind., and three sisters, Mrs. ETHEL PRATHER, Stearns; Mrs. LILLIE OLINGER, WINFIELD, Tn.; and Mrs. FLORA RYAN, HELENWOOD, Tn. Funeral services were held Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. in the Pleasant Rock Baptist Church with Rev. CALVIN CORDER and Rev. JAKE JEFFERS officiating. Burial was in the Cotton Cemetery.
