Arthur Strunk, 73, passed away suddenly Wednesday, December 16, 1964 at his home in Winfield. He was a lifelong resident of Scott County, a member of the Highway Baptist Church and a veteran of World War I. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mahala Strunk, Winfield, Tennessee; 2 daughters, Mrs. Katherine Davis, Oneida, Tennessee, Mrs. Mildred Owens, Winfield, Tennessee; 4 sons, Harold, Winfield, Tennessee, Edward, Winfield, Tennessee, Kenneth, Akron, Ohio, William, Winfield, Tennessee; 1 brother, Russell Strunk, Stearns, Kentucky; 3 sisters, Mrs. Mae Napier, Winfield, Tennessee, Mrs. Ethel Prater, Stearns, Kentucky, Mrs. Flora Ryan, Helenwood, Tennessee; 3 half-brothers, Albert Strunk and Alfred Strunk both of Amelia, Ohio, Glenn Strunk, Cincinnati, ohio; 5 half-sisters, Mrs. Grace Dolen and Mrs. Joyce Castleman both of Amelia, Ohio, Mrs. Jean McIntrye, Oxford, Ohio,
Mrs. Kathleen Smith, New York, Alene Phelps, Oneida, Tennessee; 16 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Ronald Cross, Elza Cross, Kyle Ross, Richard Olinger, Dilmon Stanley and Lawrence Carson. Honorary pallbearers were Luster Ross, Harlan Phillips, William Terry, Milton Terry and Virgil Ramsey. Funeral services were conducted 1 p.m. Saturday, December 19, 1964 from the Highway Baptist Church with Rev. Wheeler Blevins and Harold Dean Ross officiating.
