MARY LETTIE SIMONS: Sturgis; death came Monday following a paralytic stroke. She was born 15 October 1869 in MO and as a child moved with her parents to Merrimen NE where she grew to womanhood. In 1887 she was married to William Simons, they moved to WY where they lived for a number of years. In 1891 they came to SD and took up a homestead near White Owl in Meade County where Mr. Simons died about 3 years ago; Mrs. Simons moved to Sturgis about 3 years ago. She is survived by 5 sons: Elmer, Archie, Guy, Samuel and James, White Owl; 3 daughters: Mrs. Harry White, White Owl; Mrs. Henry Rapp, Englewood CO; and Mrs. Emmet Isaacs, Sturgis; 30 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Services were held from White Owl Church with Rev. Bishop officiating.
