ADDIE GERTRUDE RAPP, Sturgis, died Saturday at Sturgis Hospital. She was born 12 September 1888 at Sundance, WY, to William and Lettie Simons. At the age of 8 she moved with her family to Dalzell. Later her father homesteaded near White Owl and she lived in that area most of her life. She married Harry White in 1904 in Rapid City, he died in 1947. On 25 September 1957 she married Henry Rapp at Rapid City. They moved to Sturgis in 1966 and have lived here since. Surviving are her husband Henry, Sturgis; 2 daughters: Gertrude (Mrs. Ed Kovarik), Union Center; and Vivian (Mrs. Julian Murphy), Yuma, AZ; foster son: Bob Smiley, Red Owl; 4 brothers: Jim and Sam, Sturgis; Archie, Belle Fourche; and Guy, Rapid City; 1 sister: Ida Kayrasvopio, Whitewood; 3 grandchildren, 5 foster grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, 1 infant son, 1 brother Elmer, and a sister Violet. Services will be held Wednesday at FO Jolley Funeral Home with Rev. Charles White officiating. Burial will be in Red Owl Cemetery.
