Ann Louise Muncy, my Aunt Ann, was born in Dryhill, Kentucky on July 21, 1927. She is the daughter of Bige and Dicy Woods Muncy. The Muncys moved to Brunswick County, North Carolina in the 1930s where Ann met and married Leroy Ellington Price on June 4, 1944 in South Carolina. They moved to New Jersey and then Pennsylvania so they would be close to Roy's homeport of Philadelphia. Roy was an engineer on Atlantic Refining Company ships. While they were in Pennsylvania, their first daughter, Scarlet Leann Price was born in 1950.
They moved back to Brunswick County in the early 1950s where they lived for the rest of their lives. Their second daughter, Andrea Charlene Price was born in Southport in 1955. Ann became very active in her church and helping others in Brunswick County.
She was a wonderful, special, unique individual and will never be replaced.
Roy passed away on January 30, 1977 and was laid to rest in the Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery. Ann past away on April 1, 2012.
