Funeral services were held for Albert W. Tupa, 314 Wilson Ave., Faribault, Tuesday morning, Oct. 10, at nine o'clock at the Immaculate conception Church. The Rt. Rev. Msgr. John Foley officiated. Pallbearers were Gary McCluskey, Dale McCluskey of Farmington, James Bushey, William Ellis, Ronald Tupa and Donald Tupa of Faribault. Interment was in the Calvary Cemetery at Faribault.
The son of Joseph and Elizabeth Hertaus Tupa, he was born April 20, 1885, in New Market, and attended the New Market School and the New Prague High School. On Nov. 26, 1907, he was married to Emily Tupy at Veseli. They farmed in Forest Township until 1933, when they moved to Faribault. He worked as a trucker for Ray Chapel and then worked for the Andrews Nursery Co. for many years. He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church at Faribault. Tupa died Saturday, Oct. 7, at the age of 76 at the University Hospitals following an illness of three months.
He is survived by his widow; three daughters, Mrs. William (Sally) Wadekamper of Faribault; Mrs Fred M. (Mayme) McCluskey of Farmington and Mrs. T. W. (Alice) Bushey of Faribault; one son Edward H. Tupa of Faribault; 14 grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Henry Sebek of New Prague and three brothers, Robert Tupa of New Prague, Edward Tupa of Northfield and Henry Tupa of Montgomery. He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Mrs. C. Horejsi and one brother, Joseph Tupa. Friends and relatives attending the service from out of town were from New Prague, Montgomery, Minneapolis, Farmington and Northfield
